Senior Leadership

Oh, Captains! Our Captains!

It's not likely our senior leadership team would ever ask us to host secret literary club meetings in a cave, but they do share and foster a passion for guiding our business and shaping our culture in a way that encourages people to look at social marketing in a whole new way. Carpe brand-em, or something. So go ahead and tear that intro out of your Social Marketing 101 book — you won't be needing it with this experienced team.

Paul Hunter

COO

As part of dunnhumby, we're always thinking of new ways to work together to offer our clients more. But Paul Hunter, well, he eats, breathes and dreams integration. He leads the charge to fully incorporate dunnhumby customer insight into the BzzAgent team and client processes and ensure everything plays together nicely.

Prior to joining BzzAgent, Paul was one of the first Americans to join dunnhumby in 2003, and helped set up its US operations as CIO. Before that, he worked at LexisNexis as a Senior Director in their marketing organization, managing their customer insight and direct marketing unit. He was also head of Analytics for Information Resources (IRI) in their Chicago, London and Cincinnati offices.

These experiences are allied to Paul's passion for turning data into actionable insight — solving problems with mathematics, algorithms and arraying data visually. His definition of success is helping a client leverage insight to create new opportunities.

Kurt Overberg

CTO

If a project involves technology, Kurt Overberg is responsible for its success. He leads the teams that build the Web applications that support our hundreds-of-thousands of Agents and those that support our internal staff. Before joining BzzAgent, Kurt helped develop one of the world's first "web shopping carts" for OpenMarket. But what's most impressive is this: music pioneer Thomas Dolby once bought him a burrito.

Malcolm Faulds

SVP of Marketing

As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Malcolm Faulds is responsible for developing market interest in BzzAgent's offerings. He's also a heck of a nice guy and every inch an Aquarius. Not too bad for a Canadian.

Malcolm brings 15 years of interactive marketing experience to this position. Prior to joining our team, he was the director of E-Marketing for Valassis, where his team developed analytically driven loyalty and social marketing programs for IKEA, Genzyme, CareerBuilder and more. Malcolm also spent 5 years with Euro RSCG where he ran the global Symantec account, and held a variety of operations roles, including Chief Operator of Awesome. Malcolm's CV (they call them that in Canada) also includes pioneering interactive agency THINK New Ideas, where he managed programs for Procter & Gamble, Coral Energy and Rockport Shoes. Affectionately known as Malki Martokomous, he started his online marketing career with Bzz-friend Seth Godin at Yoyodyne Entertainment, developing some of the world's first online promotions.

Chip Terry

VP/GM of Product & Engineering

Admiral Chip Terry runs product, network, and engineering here at BzzAgent — when he's not out sailing or doing some other silly outdoor activity. He's responsible for listening to client demands, understanding the capabilities of a fast changing technology/media landscape and making sure BzzAgent's solutions solve true needs for clients and BzzAgents.

Prior to BzzAgent, Chip held a variety of product and marketing roles including VP of Marketing and Strategy at Forrester Research and GM of the Sales Intelligence business at ZoomInfo. He has a BA from Tufts University and actually did a PhD in American History at Boston University where he received a full merit scholarship, won a grant from the American Historical Society and studied with a Pulitzer and MacArthur award winning historian.
