Code of Conduct

Naturally open, honest and hype-free

We know that word of mouth and social dialogue is all about credibility. So to ensure BzzAgents deliver their opinions across social and offline media in the most effective, trustworthy manner — and comply with FTC disclosure guidelines — we equip them with a Code of Conduct. It's just like Hammurabi's Code but, you know, with a lot less hand severing. Okay, not that much less.

A BzzAgent volunteer is:

Open — Always disclose your Agent status

Let people know that you're involved with BzzAgent, and that we've supplied you with the opportunity to experience the product or service.

A Natural Communicator — Be yourself and share your opinions

Stay natural and share your opinions in a respectful and unforced way.

Honest — Always tell the truth

Bzz only works because it's honest, so discuss the bad with the good. As we say, "all Bzz is good Bzz."

Mindful — Remember that everything you do sends a message

Keep in mind that the things you say and the products you use communicate something to the people around you.

Influential — Knowledge is power... and so is Bzz

Your opinion is influential, so respect that power by only sharing honest, informed word of mouth.

Not a Salesperson — Don't exaggerate or "sell"

There's no pressure, and there's no need to "close the sale" or dramatize what you're saying.

A Listener — Pay attention to how people are responding to the Bzz

Word of mouth is a two-way street. Listening will help you to become a better, more informed BzzAgent.
